In Memory of James R. Davis

Our community has lost an incredible man. Jim Davis—beloved father, veteran, police officer, and mentor—passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and strength.

Matt Davis, son of Jim Davis, member of the Pleasant Grove community and Wrestling Coach at Pleasant Grove High School, is leading efforts for his family to bare the heavy burden of funeral expenses as they grieve the loss of their father. They are humbly asking for support during this difficult time.

Jim served dutifully in the United States Army, which included a tour in Vietnam, dedicating years of his life to protecting our country. After his military service, he continued his commitment to helping others as a police officer, SWAT team member, and D.A.R.E. officer. He touched countless lives through his service and mentorship, always striving to make his community a better, safer place.

Above all, Jim was a devoted father of eight children, whom he loved and cared for deeply. His greatest pride was his family, and he worked tirelessly to provide for them and to set an example of honor, integrity, and selflessness.

All funds raised will go directly toward covering funeral costs and helping the Davis family honor Jim’s life in the way he deserves.
