James was a beloved brother, son, cousin and employee. He tragically passed away on December 15, 2016 just 5 days before what would have been his 24th birthday from a heart attack.
Although James  had life insurance, his family is unable to access the funds because he listed his minor sister as the beneficiary. The money has been placed into a trust in her name and will remain there until her 18th birthday, 6 years from now.
James would never have wanted his parents to be dealing with the stress they are now faced with in trying to find a way to pay for his funeral expenses. Had he known this would have happened, he would have made a different beneficiary selection.
In order to proceed with the services, they secured a personal loan for $15,000 against the life insurance policy, which they must now figure out how to pay off.
