James Patterson, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many has passed away from complications with Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM).  He was the loving son to his mother Maureen Dowd and father Robert Patterson, and the proud brother to Bryson Patterson and Virginia Sheller. James was a devoted uncle to his six nephews and nieces. The heartbreak his family and friends feel at his sudden loss is immeasurable. James will be profoundly missed by all who had the absolute pleasure in knowing him. 


This campaign was set up by a small group of family and friends in response to the many requests from those looking to help James' family. The money raised through this page will help alleviate the financial burden left by his sudden passing. Our goal is to allow his family to focus on honoring and remembering James and his incredible life and not on the medical and funeral expenses. 


Finding words that encapsulates his life and the impact he had on those who loved him feels impossible. James was joy. James was love. James was kindness. James was driven.  He was an animal lover, a wave chaser, an avid cyclist. He had the heart of a lion. His big smile and infectious laugh will never be forgotten. James was successful. James was intelligent. James knew how to share his good fortunes with those around him and was incredibly generous with his time and love. James was fun. With a little mischief in his eyes, James' playfulness and good humor made for too many good times to recall.  Above all, James was and will always be so very loved. 


While we may not be able to release James' family of their emotional burdens, we can come together to relieve them of some of the financial hardships. With your donations, we hope to help James' immediate family focus on his memory.
