Hey. We are Pat's wife, son, and daughter-in-law. Pat was a good, sweet soul who cared deeply for the environment. One of his favorite local outdoor places was the Memorial Park in Port Orange, Florida. It's a beautiful 10-acre park with a lighted walkway around a large lake adjacent to the Port Orange Community Center and host to many outdoor events throughout the year. Pat and Pam often walked the lake path, admiring and watching the now towering bald cypress trees grow.
Because it's a memorial park, we have an opportunity to plant a new grove of cypress trees in memory of Pat. Each good-size tree is sourced at $350 plus tax and includes its planting and guarantee of life for one year by a local nursery, Butcher's. A plaque will be installed as well to indicate the grove was planted in Pat's memory.
We will definitely plant three trees, but with your help, many more so that this park can continue to grow and shelter walkers, joggers, and families well into the future.
We deeply appreciate your helping to make this dream come true by donating here instead of sending pricey flower arrangements, that while beautiful, are already dead things. Any amount you give will help this become a living tribute to Pat's life and love for his greater community, his friends, and his family.
