Hi, my name is Kami and my son is James.

He’s 12 years old and has been struggling emotionally and self-harming.

In October he went to the Behavioral Health Hospital for suicidal ideation.

He has been diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety, and both cause a lot of problems, even just completing normal everyday tasks.

He has a psychiatrist and he has been to therapy, but a clinician has recommended partial hospitalization due to the extremeness of what is happening currently.

This means that for a few hours 5 days a week, he would be at Discovery Behavioral Center in Sacramento working on therapy and meeting with a psychiatrist.

It has all cost us so much already in hospital fees, emergency room fees, psychiatric bills, therapy bills etc, but now we have a new insurance company that we are trying to navigate as well.

They will cover 80% of his outpatient treatment once we hit our deductible.

If you can help us it would mean so much. This has been a silent battle to protect his privacy, but it is so hard and I have to ask for help.
