Mr. James Ohnesorge, a proud Veteran of the United States, was a pedestrian riding his bicycle southbound on US Highway 19 when another driver failed to correctly yield making a left hand turn, causing the vehicle to strike Mr. Ohnesorge and cause a catastrophic accident.
Mr. Ohnesorge was unconscious at the scene and was ultimately in the hospital on life support for three days. His stay in the ICU department of Bayonet Point Regional Medical and consisted of multiple surgies on his head and left shoulder and has lost all of his teeth. Mr. Ohnesorge is still dealing with fractures in his ankle, ribs and scapla.
Mr. Ohnesorge requires multiple future surgeries on his neck and back. Additionally, Mr. Ohnesorge does not have any insurance to help cover his future medical needs.
