James' (Phil's) dog needs service dog training

Hi, my name is Laura and I am James' (Phil's) wife. James spent over 10 years of his life serving our country in the U.S. Coast Guard. While serving, James developed severe anxiety, PTSD and depression as well as bipolar II. James has a very hard time trusting people and going in to public without getting anxious and scared. He has really developed a very low self esteem. Also, this has really hindered his ability to work. Simple tasks like driving and having simple conversations with people stresses him out to the point of tears. James has many days that he breaks down and cries due to the anxiety and depression during various times of the day or activities.

James has found a great service dog organization, called Hope Service Dogs, Inc., for him and we have made a small down payment for the perfect partner. However, we can not afford the training needed to suit his needs with the service dog. He is due to receive his dog some time around December. James' service dog training would support him by reacting to his oncoming attacks by comforting him, retrieve medicine and brings sunshine into his days when dealing with his bipolar and depression. This training will be provided by a very experienced trainer that would provide him a new life where he can enjoy life outside the house again.
