James needs a changing station! Can you help?
Donation protected
Hi there, Many of you know James as a big part of our church family at St Lukes. He loves coming to church and participates by chattering or running around the aisles with his Mummy and Daddy in tow!
James is 6 and has various medical diagnoses including Drug Resistant Epilepsy. Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome secondary to Meningoencephalitis, Non Verbal and Severe Global Learning Delay which cause him many difficulties in his life.
He is absolutely doted on by Racheal and Ashley who are such wonderful parents to both James and his little sister Emily.
But as he's growing and getting heavier and stronger, it's posing more and more difficulty for them to care for him. He requires many pieces of equipment and speciality home modifications just to allow Ashley and Rachael to give him his basic care needs.
In the next few weeks building work will start on their house to make many modifications and provide James with extra safety.
However a vital piece of equipment is needed which unfortunately can't be funded by any services.
James needs a changing station. It's a piece of equipment that needs to accommodate his size and weight and help Ashley and Rachael with the constant lifting of James which is getting so difficult, especially for Rachael.
It would be so wonderful to be able to help them with these funds. It would have a really huge and positive impact on their daily lives.
If you would like to help by blessing them with a contribution toward this they'd be so thankful.
Also, if you could pray for James and the Smith family that the funds can be raised and that the building works go smoothly and that the disruption isn't too unsettling for James that would be wonderful.
Please do feel free to leave messages of love and support should you wish to.
