James Murphy's New Heart!

Hi, I am a close family friend of the family and care so much about Lynn and Murphy! Here is the most recent update on Murphy! Murphy needs a heart transplant and his wife Lynn has worked at their local Town Office for the last 42 years! Help us to help them back! " Again I want to thank everyone for reaching out with your messages, phone calls, for your prayers and positive thoughts, they mean so very much to us. Here's a little update for today: Today was a "resting day" for Murphy. His nurse, Agnes, today encouraged us to talk to him, one sided conversations are hard! Since he is lightly sedated he was responding to us by nodding his head yes or no (the nurse was surprised to see that), raising his eyebrows, he tried opening his eyes, he was squeezing my hand and he wiggled his toes for us before we left. He has a breathing tube in, they haven't closed up his chest yet, watching for bleeding (there hasn't been any) and in anticipation of removing the RVAD. Keep the prayers coming and positive thoughts as he has a long road ahead. I don't know what I would have done this week without his sister Nancy and his brother Rowdy by my side through it all. I'm blessed and will be forever grateful for their love and support. They will return home tomorrow for a couple of days. My niece Erika is coming down tomorrow for a couple of days. Monday his daughter Donna is coming down and my sister Dawn at the end of the week. I'll be looking forward to seeing them, to Rowdy and Nancy's return and visits from Murph's parents and other family members in the coming weeks."
