James Mertzweiller’s Memorial Relief Fund

On September 2nd, James Mertzweiller surrendered his earthly existence and moved on to whatever is next.   He was 38 years old.

James was his own man. A person who taught us to be grateful for the moments we have today.  A person who taught us more lessons than we realized until he was gone.

James was always bettering himself, learning to be more authentic and in the present moment. Learning more about what life meant, and specifically what his life meant.

Even after he is gone, his medicine is working. He is still doing so much work.  He has brought us all together to support and love one another in time of crisis.  It is clear that he is teaching us the importance of finding and honoring your tribe. He is teaching us the value of family. And that it is not always blood related.

The pain we feel from his loss is allowing us to see what is most important. He is giving us that Mertzweiller tough love to help us grow and get stronger. He is gone, and yet his spirit is still working.  As we work through all the grief, and work towards acceptance of this new reality.  We see the miracles happening.  We see the signs he is sending. All these stories of synchronicity are just signs he was ready to leave his physical body and move into whatever comes next in the cosmos.  All is as it should be.

Let us now focus on the things he is still teaching.  Remember the stories, experiences, and those deep, philosophical conversations we all grew to love.

Directly and indirectly, we have learned to live a little lighter, laugh a little more, and let that serious stuff go. We have learned to slow down and live.

He lived a full life, and shared many of his wild and crazy adventures. He was a proud father to 5 wild, wonderful children. He was a wrangler of life. He took life by the horns, and either kicked ass or got his ass kicked. But either way, he gave it his all, and either way, he had a hell of a story with some lesson to be learned, and then taught.

He was an outdoorsman, a soldier, musician, woodworker,  drum maker,  damn good cook, and a jewelry designer & maker.

He was a son, father, brother, husband, and friend.  James was a pillar of loving support and helped others see how strong they are. He didn't help get them through their stuff, he showed them they could do it. He encouraged people to step into their best selves and embrace the hardships they may have been going through.

Today, we learn to see his light through this physical experience. We are grateful to of known him, even if only for a few short years.

To the beyond, friend. Thanks for being an exceptional human being. See you again soon.

All funds donated are for long term goals.  He leaves behind a wife,  Alicia and five beautiful children.  Their immediate needs are taken care of by the community around them. They were working towards a  dream of acreage where they could have small animals and work the land together.  Donating to this cause will help us in helping them realize this dream in whatever form serves their young family.

James wife Alicia will have full control of all donated funds.

     Thank you.
