James' Memorial Bench
On November 30, the residents of Sachem Way lost their neighbor and friend James Ransom at the young age of 13. James grew up on our street, and his presence will be dearly missed by all. In support of the Ransom family, several homeowners on our street have expressed interest in a memorial to James.
As neighbors, we felt the most fitting way that we could memorialize James was to consider a bench placed on our street in his name. LARMAC approved a 6 foot long bench, placed in the island in the center of our street, an area in which James grew up playing, so long as our street donated the bench.
The bench type that the Ransoms prefer is pictured. There will be an enscription to James, which will be created by the Ransom family.
There have been other fundraisers and events and the Ransoms appreciate everything that has been done. We felt it important that the lasting reminder on our street be donated by our small community.
Thank you for anything that you can give - the money will go directly to the purchase of the bench. The goal reflects the estimated total cost of the bench. As soon as we have the goal met, we will order this piece and LARMAC will assist with a concrete pad and installation of the piece. THANK YOU for helping create a lasting piece of Sachem Way in rememberance to this sweet kid.
Sincerely,
Justin Couvillion
