Our football family is built on heart, dedication, and showing up for one another—and few people embody that spirit more than James and his family.

James is the Vice President of Football Nanaimo and the biggest hype man around. He is always the first to step up, the first to volunteer his time, and the first to support others with compassion, energy, and care. Alongside his family, he has given countless hours to our football community, always putting others first.

Recently, James suffered a major stroke following an unimaginable accident while working. His life, and the lives of his loved ones, changed in an instant.

James is currently receiving medical care in Victoria, and his family has had to relocate there to be by his side during this incredibly difficult time. While their focus should be fully on James’ healing and recovery, they are now facing the added stress of being away from home long-term and managing unexpected financial burdens.

This fundraiser is to help ease that weight.

All funds raised will go directly toward supporting James and his family with essential living expenses while they remain in another city to support him through his medical journey. Your support allows them to focus on what truly matters: being together, staying strong, and giving James the time and space he needs to heal—without the constant worry of financial strain.

Our football family always comes together in times of need, and this is one of those moments. James has been our hype man for so long—now it’s time for us to rally around him and be his.
