James Maynard in his fight with ALS

Hi, my name is Linda. James and I have been married for 33 years. Jim was a firefighter/paramedic for Pasco county for 30 years and retired as chief in 2016. Recenty Jim was diagnosed with ALS. He is no longer able to speak clearly and has trouble walking. His family has been providing care for him and he is currently being fitted for a powered wheelchair and has recently had a feeding tube inserted. Medicare covers most of the expenses but out of pocket expenses equipment and medication, and multiple doctors is significant.
