We're still around $2000 short in being able to cover Jimmy's end-of-life expenses, and I would really like to prevent his family from being put in the position of carrying this financial burden.

We'd like to offer prints of three special art pieces to anyone who can help us cover the shortfall. One is an 8"x8" sketch from 1978 and is signed by Jimmy. The other is a 9"x12" marker drawing I found in one of his sketchbooks. And finally, there is the Columbus Circle water color sketch, in which so many people have expressed interest.

About Jimmy's Passing

On August 14th, our beloved friend Jimmy Clifford, passed from this realm. Jimmy was an extremely special, kind, dignified and gifted being. His gifts were misrecognized by others, who not knowing how to work with someone like himself, put him on meds to keep him tame and safe—meds that ultimately wrecked his nervous system and caused him great difficulty.

Jimmy was a talented artist and steadfast friend, who lived to throw a good party of the heart with the many and varied people in his orbit. He accepted those he knew just as they were—not only putting up with their eccentricities, but meeting them where they were as if in a great festival of compassion and delight. I and many others will miss him dearly.

We've put together this GoFundMe to help cover the expenses involved in closing Jimmy's life in a good way. He was a man of sparse means, and your contribution would mean a lot to his family. The funds will be used to cover his cremation, funerary rites and related expenses, some outstanding debts, and to help ship his goods to his family. Any funds left over will be sent as a gift to his mother.
