I am writing this on behalf of my Uncle Frank, Aunt Marylou/Molly and cousins Eddie, Monique, Frankie Jr., Chris, Frances and Renee. Our family is dealing with the loss of my beloved cousin James Joe Esquivel. We are kindly reaching out to other family and friends. I am sharing these words of my Aunt Marylou/Molly from her thoughts as a Mother.

On February 2, 2023

My son James had a seizure and fell directly on his head. He was transported to the hospital for his injuries and had multiple tests done. They concluded that all tests were good results but would keep him overnight for observation. The next day he had some setbacks and started hallucinating causing him to be restrained to his bed for his safety.

On February 4th, 2023

Two days later, they started to feed him since he had not eaten in nearly a week!

Then on early Sunday,

February 5th, 2023

I received a phone call at 1 am from the hospital, stating that my son James' heart had stopped! They began the process of resuscitating him which took about 30 minutes. The reason for the time was that he was choking on his vomit from the food they had fed him prior. Which, had caused him in that time to stop breathing and had no oxygen to his brain causing a loss of brain activity.

On March 23rd, 2023

He was transported to another hospital and they also ran tests as a second opinion and came to the conclusion that all tests came to the same results that James was now declared brain dead.

And since he was now on a ventilator that was breathing for him the recommendation was to let my beloved James go to be with the Lord.

On March 26th, 2023

We had the painful task of letting go of my beloved James so that he can now be with our Lord and Savior.
