I started this gofundme in efforts to assist my dad in getting support during this extremely difficult and heartbreaking time. My dad is an extremely driven and hardworking man. He took great pride in his job and loved to show off his work in glass installation. My dad rarely ever got sick and nothing knocked him down. Unexpectedly my dad got extremely sick and after a few days he decided he needed to go to the hospital. He got dismissed by the ER nurses/doctors as having the flu. Two days later my father was found unconscious and had to be rushed to the hospital once again. He suffered 3 strokes in his cerebellum. It was an incredibly traumatic, anxiety inducing and gut wrenching time. After weeks and weeks of him fighting in the hospital he was then discharged to a physical rehab facility and is now home and has been putting in all the work he needs to get better. It has taken a toll on him as his entire life got switched around and the things that brought him the greatest joys he is not physically able to do anymore. One of the hardest issues is my father was never prepared for a situation like this. He has no income coming in now since he is disabled and still suffering with physical and psychological effects of the stroke. We are looking for any funding we are able to get in order to make sure my dad has meals to eat and in order for his bills to be paid so he can heal comfortably without worrying about if he will end up having to pay for his medication ($700 out of pocket) to keep him from having a fatal medical emergency. It pains me to see him so worried about his finances during his healing process. We are extremely grateful for any and all donations that we will be graced with during this treacherous time.
