James J. Celona, Jr. Perseverance Scholarship
Hello everyone!!
In 2009, the Perseverance Scholarship was created to honor students who have a learning disability and have managed to achieve success despite this obstacle. We renamed the scholarship in 2016 to honor the memory of James Joseph Celona, Jr., beloved brother to special education teacher, Michelle O'Neill. We are hoping to raise money again this year and we need your help.
It is our hope to recognize students who are not at the top of the class, but who have worked hard to do well in school. These students have also faced many additional obstacles brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic- including having to continue their education remotely which is an extreme challenge for any student, let alone a student with a learning disability. Nevertheless, they are determined to accomplish their goals by going to college, vocational school or a job training program. Please donate what you can to the James Joseph Celona, Jr. Perseverance Scholarship.
