James Family Flood Relief

Donation protected

Our troubles started on July 23, 2019 when our basement flooded for the first time in years. Water rose half way up our calves and caused damage to many of our valuables and caused minor damage to the furnace, water heater, washer, and dryer.
Unfortunately the flood on August 12, 2019 has done us in this time.

Today has taken a great toll on our physical and mental well beings we found ourselves with water half way up or legs at 4am this morning. We worked diligently to save as much as we possibly could but the water was pouring in much quicker this time around.
After only an hour we were knee deep in water that was bubbling in from the hole that was meant to keep the water drained. The little sump pump was working hard and had nothing to show for it.
By 6am we were knee deep in the dirty water, watching many of our belongings topple into the water and float around as we scrambled to rescue it all.

Unfortunately many things were lost. Our heater, furnace, washer, dryer, and air conditioner have been damaged to a point of no return. Keepsakes, furniture, electronics, and memories were floating around us as we did all that we could.
We're currently left without any AC and have several beloved pets here with us and are unable to relocate anywhere as we don't want to leave them behind.

Kevin's car has been damaged as well, leaving him without a vehicle to get back and forth to work for the time being.

We've contacted insurance about both our home and car, unfortunately our coverage leaves us short on funds to fix all the damages.

We're especially desperate to fix the air conditioning so that we and our pets don't have to suffer in the heat.

Any help we can get will be greatly appreciated as we're still in a waiting period with the insurance but need things fixed as soon as possible.

Below is some more pictures of the damages. We will update everyone here as we slowly work toward pulling our household back together.
