Hi, my name is James F. Donovan III, my family and I, are attempting to help raise funds for my father's funeral costs and hospitalization costs over the last week.

If you know my dad personally he wouldn't want to ask for help, my mom does not want to either, but I am hoping that reaching out will reduce some of the financial burden.

My father had a fall at home on September 21st, my parents anniversary, and we were unsure why. My mom found him on the floor and unresponsive she called 911 who transported him to Vassar Brothers hospital where they discovered bilateral subarachnoid and an intraventricular brain bleeds. While he was hospitalized he was confused but communicating and able to get to the bathroom with help. I had been able to talk to him on the phone to give him updates on the Mets and Giants.

Initially we believed he would be able to attend my sister's wedding on October 6th as he had been stable. However, somewhere between the night of September 27th and morning of the 28th he took a turn for the worse and we were unsure why. His CT scan was stable, angiogram showed no significant findings, and unfortunately he was not stable enough for an MRI.

He passed away with my mom and his sister MaryEllen by his side. Family was the most important thing to my dad and he will be missed at birthdays, holidays, and family reunions. I will miss daily calls to him where we both grumble about the Mets and Giants and how impressed he was by everything his grandson Logan did.

If you are able to help at all we deeply appreciate the contribution, the event was unexpected and unfortunately, expensive. We understand if you cannot, and ask you keep him in your thoughts.
