Dear family and friends,

We come together with heavy hearts to honor and remember an incredible soul — someone who could light up any room he walked into. James was truly one of a kind. He had this rare gift of fitting in anywhere he went and no matter the crowd, he always left behind a mark — most often a smile, a laugh, a tummy ache from laughing too hard and a memory that could never be forgotten.

He had the power to turn the darkest room into the brightest one within seconds. His humour was effortless, his energy contagious and his heart pure. He could make even a wall smile. That’s how much joy he had to share.

He lived his life with unconditional love — for family, friends, neighbours and even strangers. Always helping, always caring and always showing up when someone needed him. His kindness and compassion knew no limits.

Now, as we face this unimaginable loss, he leaves behind his precious 7-year-old son — a beautiful boy who carries that same spark, smile, and soul. It will take a whole village to raise him and ensure he continues to grow up surrounded by the same love and light his father gave to everyone around him.
