James, Emma, Jasper and Zeke

Hi, my name is Dave and I’m reaching out to the wider community for assistance to support this beautiful family who are dear friends to me and to many others, not only a friend to many but James is a proud provider for his family and the community with his local business suppling sourdough & baked goods. James and his incredible partner Emma together have created a beautiful family, and a wonderful artisan bakery built from scratch in their back yard.
They have two children, Jasper who is now 2 years old and just recently Emma birthed their second child Zeke who decided to come in the world at 28 weeks gestation on 25/10/23 with a battle on his hands. Since his birth Zeke has been cared for at SCUH but unfortunately he has not been progressing due to a large PDA heart murmur and chronic lung disease, (the PDA is duct that connects the aorta and the main lung artery which normally closes after birth) unfortunately Zeke's duct has not closed and is very large which causes extra blood and fluid into the lungs making it much more difficult for him to breath, Zeke has taken 2 rounds of medication to try and close this duct which has not helped to close or reduce the size of the opening, he has now been transferred to The Royal Brisbane Hospital to be assessed by the cardiologist and lung specialist to decide if Zeke will need heart surgery. Emma is spending every bit of her time at the hospital watching over Zeke, while James is looking after Jasper. This unexpected and stressful situation has forced them to shut down production of their bakery causing extra stress and financial hardship. Any support to this family will go along way during these testing times. All funds raised will support this young family greatly to meet medical cost, travel, keeping the business afloat and family support.
Im looking for any donations to help with expenses over the next few months. James has been a friend for many years now and, he is so generous, kind and always gives his time and attention to others. An all round good soul that never wanted handouts but will be forever grateful for any relief at this point in time.
*new update
James and Emma will be needing to relocate their lives/bakery to the Sunshine Coast to be close to SCUH for what had been advised a long road ahead for years to come any donation will help with relocation of home and help James re-locate his bakery.
