James Duffy Memorial Fund

James Patrick Duffy, 30, of Johns Creek, GA passed away June 3, 2023. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Bill Head Funeral Homes Duluth Chapel.

Mr. Duffy, a native of Charlotte, NC was a loving son, a loyal and dedicated friend, caring brother, and a doting dog dad. He was a lover of existential thinking, reading of thought provoking books, video games that included a robust community of gamers, and cooking meals in the kitchen (usually including an Asian flair). There was never a dull moment at the dinner table with James where he would discuss so many interesting and deep conversations. He also loved nature, exploring and traveling to Ireland and Japan.

James graduated with honors from Georgia State University in 2014 with a degree in Psychology. James had many strengths in life including working with kids as a camp counselor at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, as well as being a manager/creator at a 3D printing factory.

He is survived by his mother, Joy Morgan Duffy of Johns Creek, GA; father and stepmother, Paul M. and Cindi Duffy of Bluffton, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Nicole and Owen Brantley of Roswell, GA; brother, Dylan Robinson of Johns Creek, GA; maternal grandmother, Helen Shackleford of Denver, CO.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in James's name to the family. James's had many things in life that he was passionate about, including supporting organizations that supported mental health. The family plans to make a donation in James's name at a later date and will post that update here.
