James Dowrich Team Cheam ✨
Donation protected
James Dowrich , a member of our team at Cheam David Lloyd had a serious accident on 24th November whilst training for a regional trampolining competition. He damaged the spinal cord in his neck. This changed everything for his family. He was in St Georges for several months before being transferred to The Royal National Orthopedic Hospital where he is currently undergoing further treatment. He has regained use of his arms and can now wiggle his toes which is a huge step forwards.
James, his Mum Bal, and his sister Sophie, all work at Cheam David Lloyd and are key members of our team. They are also the most lovely family you could meet.
We want to raise money to help them convert and adapt their home so that James can live with them and gain as much independence as possible. All of this comes at a cost. Initial estimates are that they will need around £30k to complete the works and provide James with some of the equipment he will need.
So far we have raised money through cake sales, a charity football match v. Epsom David Lloyd (which Cheam won!) and around 20 members and team members are running on Sunday at the Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon. Any donations, however small, would be amazing to help this incredible family.
