James Douglas Poling Funeral Fund

Dearest friends and family,

While some of you already know, it is with a heavy heart that we inform you that James Douglas Poling, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021.

James leaves behind a 13 year old daughter, Sophia Marie Poling, that he shared with Kelly Casanova. For those of you who knew James, you certainly know that Sophia was the love of his life.

James had the ability to make everyone laugh, and he absolutely loved doing it. He was whip smart, witty, and loved discussing politics and engaging in philosophical debates. He had a passion for creativity - he loved to write, create web designs, and even once hosted his own internet radio show. While the radio show didn't exactly "take off", that never mattered to James - he put his all into every show even knowing he'd have just 3 people listening. James just did whatever sparked joy.

Despite being from Indiana, he was a New Yorker at heart, and a die hard Yankees / Giants fan. He adored his cat, Mojo, and took nonstop selfies with him. He loved The Beatles, The Office and strawberry milk. More than anything though, his true love was Sophia. I remember the day she was born, and how tiny she looked cradled against him...but more than that, I remember the way he looked at her.

His family is completely shocked and saddened by his passing, and unfortunately not financially prepared at this time to handle the unexpected loss. Some of you have reached out to the family and asked how you can help during this difficult period. Therefore, if you are able to, a donation can be made to assist with his funeral services here. Any help you can would be extremely appreciated as the family attempts to navigate this extremely difficult time.

We wish for James' soul to rest in peace. The world is a little less bright without him in it.
