James (Jamie) Clark is a vibrant young man with a wicked sense of humor and a generous heart, but he's going through a hard time. You see, in October 2017, my friend Jamie had a liver transplant. The transplant went well, but recently he developed portal vein hypertension, which created the need for a second transplant. He is in Houston Methodist Hospital and has received his second liver. So far, he is doing well.

Unfortunately, he will have to remain in Houston for the foreseeable future, which means many expenses in addition to his medical care. The insurance only covers so much. The Houston doctors will monitor his health for several months before allowing him to return to Mississippi, where his primary doctor can take over. Houston is a very expensive place, and these donations will help pay for his ongoing medical needs as well as his lodging, meals, transportation costs, any medical equipment, and his phone bill so he can stay in contact with the hospital and his family.
