Hi my name is Louis and I'm fundraising for our good friend and colleague James Carney.

We are heartbroken by the recent passing of our dear friend, Jim Carney at the young age of 48 who bravely fought cancer. Jim was an extraordinary person, and his loss leaves a significant void in the lives of all who knew him.

To honor his memory and the incredible impact he had, we are fundraising for a memorial bench.

Losing Jim is incredibly tough, and a memorial bench is a wonderful way to honor him.

Jim was more than just a friend he was a source of unwavering support and a constant inspiration. For his family, Jim was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather – the cornerstone of countless cherished memories, always bringing warmth and laughter to every gathering. His love and dedication to them were boundless.

Among his friends, Jim was the kind of person you could always count on. He was the first to offer a helping hand or a listening ear.

In his professional life, Jim was a highly respected and valued colleague. Working for Fareham Borough Council for over 20 years he approached his work with dedication and integrity Jims positive attitude and genuine care for his team left a lasting impression on countless colleagues.

This memorial bench will be a peaceful place for all of us to remember Jim – to reflect on his remarkable life, share stories, and feel his enduring presence. It will be a lasting tribute to a man who enriched our lives in countless ways and will be deeply missed.
