James Bruce and his final expenses
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Symadore. James was our beloved father who passed away on 04/20/2023 after a long battle of health issues. It all started in April of 2022. He went in for a triple bypass and they had complications. Not to mention his heart is the size of a basketball! A week later they went back in because all the wires were busted in his chest and they placed in a titanium plate. All while still going to the wound clinic because the veins in his legs weren't healing from the removal properly. In May, we found out he had cancer in his left kidney. He finally was able to go back to work in November. In March 2023, he had a stroke and found 2 hours later on the floor. He goes to ER and we find out not only did he have a stroke, but has stage 4 metastatic brain cancer. He did 10 radiation treatments. Between all the radiation, cancer, lesions on the brain, and a stroke his left side was effected. He couldn't walk, and had trouble speaking. He was a 2-3 person assist. He was moved to a rehabilitation center thinking it'd help. However, he needed more assistance than they could give, so he was moved to a nursing home after 2 weeks. He began declining in health. Refusing meals, staying tired, and so forth. On April 16th I got the call they were taking him to ER. His heart rate and respiration was low, and running a fever. They admitted him into ICU. He was intubated and a central line was started. He now has sepsis, pneumonia, and a UTI. He wasn't improving by no means. The dr suggested comfort care. So we chose to do that, and he was taken off all machines. April 19th we got him moved into in patient hospice. His health was steadily declining, and on April 20th @ 1:23pm our father was called home.
Our father didn't have any of his affairs in order, no life insurance, etc. He was a family driven man whose time was cut short too soon. He was only 60 years old. An avid fan of star wars, star trek, westerns, and loved to travel. He was a simple man who didn't ask for much, but for the love from his children, my brother Darien and I.
We are asking for anyone who is able to donate to help offset our father's final expenses/bills. Anyone who knew our father, would tell you he was a hard working man. He would give you the shirt off his back. If you are unable to donate, we would be very appreciative if you could perhaps just share this for us! We are beyond gracious for all your love and support during these hard times. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts in advance!!!
