Update!!

First of all, thank you to all of our incredible donors who have contributed to this campaign! We sincerely appreciate all the positive vibes, thoughts, prayers, and monetary donations.

Today is a big day—James’ surgery is happening! Last night, he was in good spirits, staying positive, and even looking forward to visiting the doctor again (believe it or not, lol). He also proudly lost a tooth, which made him even more excited! We are so proud of how brave he is through all of this.

Mom and Dad are holding up well and are ready for the day ahead. The surgery is expected to take around 6 hours, and Dad mentioned that the medical team plans to have James extubated before he returns to his hospital room.

I am reaching out to you as James’ grandmother to ask for your support, prayers, and positive thoughts for our beloved James. On James’ 6th birthday today, James is preparing for a critical open-heart surgery at Phoenix Children’s Hospital on September 18, and his journey has been nothing short of challenging. 

A few months ago, James’ parents, Brennan and Jenny, noticed that something wasn’t right. Their normally energetic and playful boy began to struggle medically. After countless doctor visits and tests, they were devastated to learn that a major heart defect had gone undetected until now.

Last month, James underwent a heart catheterization, which revealed the severity of his condition: he has three holes in his heart, a mitral valve defect, and pulmonary hypertension. This news was heartbreaking for Brennan and Jenny, but James has shown incredible bravery and resilience through it all.

Now, he is facing the next big step—his first of two open-heart surgeries to repair the major holes in his little (heart. While Brennan and Jenny are doing everything they can to stay strong for James, the emotional and financial burdens have become overwhelming. Medical bills, time away from work, and ongoing care are weighing heavily on them. We are asking for your help to lighten their load.

As his grandmother, I am asking for your help. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward James’ medical care and provide much-needed relief for Brennan and Jenny during this difficult time. Even if you are unable to contribute financially, sharing this message or sending love, light or prayers would mean the world to them.
