On July 29th, 2018 James and Lesa's daughter, Melissa, was involved in a serious car accident. She sustained multiple injuries including a broken neck causing paralysis in all of her extremities. She also suffered a fractured breast plate, 6 broken ribs, a hole in her right hand, and a 6-inch laceration on her leg that exposed the bone. After months of care that has involved multiple surgeries and daily rehabilitation, Melissa has gained full use of her left leg and the left hand is useful up to about 55%. Her right leg still has no feeling but there is some movement and this same condition still exists in the right hand and arm as well. James and Lesa are making preparation for Melissa to move in with them to their house in Texas. Arrangements have already been made to retrofit a ramp and to enlarge the doors of the house to accommodate her wheelchair. This $5000.00 fundraiser is to raise the money to hire a contractor to install a mobility accessible shower in James and Lesa's house for Melissa.

Many of you know James from projects over the last 11 years that he has been an employee at Derr & Isbell but probably very few of you know the condition of Melissa's needs after her accident. This is a way for every one to be an encouragement to this family during the holidays! Please consider what you can do to help them and who else you can share this need with.
An anonymous donor has already agreed to match every donation up to $2,500.00 so we can reach the $5,000.00 for one of the Derr & Isbell family employee's over the next 2 weeks! Ever dollar you give will be matched to double the impact of your gift until we hit the $5000.00 goal!
Thank you in advance from the family for your gift and the encouragement it will bring them!!
