James (Bob) Robert Dunn

May 29, 1956 - February 24, 2024

My name is Daniella Paiz and I am raising funds on behalf of my Grandma Sheral, for my Papa Bob’s memorial services/celebration of life we are to have on Saturday March 30, 2024.

On Monday, February 12, 2024 we found out my Papa Bob had ALL Leukemia. He had numerous doctor visits prior to this and all tests came back fine. So imagine the shock he and we all felt, especially my grandma. The Dr’s at PMVH had their hands tied with his prognosis, so we had him transferred to Keck Hospital of USC - the doctors and specialists there said there was really nothing they could do for him since it was an extremely aggressive cancer. He wanted to fight but unfortunately there was nothing to be done. He was sent home on Friday, February 23rd on hospice care. Sadly he went to sleep on Monday, February 26th. He was surrounded by his wife, son and family. This illness came out of now where and has left a great deal of pain and financial stress on my Grandma Sheral. This has put her at a need to ask for help with costs for funeral arrangements, medical bills, and mortgage she will need to cover until she can get her finances situated. They were married for 21 years, he was the sole provider and he was only 67. They planned on growing old together and now she is at a point in her life, being 67 and alone after so long, it’s a very scary and lonely time. Anything will greatly help my grandma through until she can figure out her next steps in life. Anything would help and is truly appreciated. Thank you for reading and please share.
