Tenants Displaced By James Bay Fire

Donation protected
On Monday morning, Oct. 25 our apartment building at 118 Menzies St. suffered a major fire.  Do to the damage sustained to building, it has been deemed unsuitable for living.

Due to this disaster, we have been forced to end our tenancy.  There are around 15 people who have now been suddenly displaced from our homes and in desperate need of housing.  Some of those impacted are seniors and individuals with special needs.  Many of us do not have family nearby and no where to turn to as we plan our next steps.

We also need to retrieve/salvage any belongings still inside the building and move out quickly.

Temporary relief via Red Cross will end on Tuesday morning and those still unable to find accommodations will face homelessness.

Any donations are greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your support and prayers during this overwhelming time.

All donations will be deposited in a separate account at the BMO in James Bay and can only be accessed by two people simultaneously  and be monitored by the bank MGR.
