We are raising funds for a commemorative bantering bench in memory of James Barrington, to be placed on Wimbledon Common - a place he loved and where many of us shared happy moments with him.

James was a kind, generous and much-loved husband, father, family member, friend and colleague. His warmth, humour and compassion touched so many lives. We want to create a lasting place where people can sit, reflect, and remember him.

The Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators run a scheme for commemorative benches. The cost is £3,500, which covers the bench, plaque, installation, and ongoing maintenance so it can be enjoyed for many years to come.

We would be so grateful for any contribution towards making this happen. No amount is too small and every donation brings us closer to creating this lasting tribute to James. Should we raise more than the total of £3500.00 we will donate the excess to one of James' favourite charities.

We hope this bench will be a place to smile at happy memories, share stories, and feel connected to James; now and always.
