At the young age of 4, James McDowell  has been diagnosed with a childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma. What makes James' diagnosis so unique is that he was already born with a sickle cell disease which requires extensive supervision and more test, procedures, and hospitalization. At the same time this causes his parents  to struggle with the hardships of missing work,  taking care of his brother, and ensuring that James gets every treatment needed to help him defeat this cancer and get back to a normal life of enjoying and living out his childhood. James is a great kid and loves fishing(and anything else outdoors), toys, and people. He is a strong young man and continues to fight this thing everyday. In his childhood innocence, James doesn't really have an idea of how serious of a situation he is fighting through. He just knows how to love and be what God has made him to be.
