Jambalaya News Louisiana Fire. INCENDIO.

This morning the offices of Jambalaya News Louisiana were gravely impacted by a fire. The fire started in a second-story suite and has now been contained, but all of the offices in the building have been soaked, and we fear it will be condemned. At this point, their equipment has been completely destroyed but we have faith that they will be able to rebuild with your support.
*Jambalaya News Louisiana is a bilingual Spanish/English newspaper that has been in operation since 2004 and expanded recently in 2019 with Futbol y Mas, a sports-driven publication.
*In 2015, Jambalaya News Louisiana launched an online radio station via the application Tune-In that now has 5 daily programs and is broadcast 24 hours a day.
*To meet the growing needs of the community a family-oriented program was launched, Jambalaya Soccer Academy for children was born in 2012 and this program grew to warrant the need for a nonprofit, Murphy Education and Sports Foundation in 2016. The foundation currently has a cooperative endeavor agreement with the Jefferson Parish school board and the recently renamed Tom Benson School in Kenner, where Murphy Education supplies translators, school supplies as needed and as funds allow to help with the assimilation for new arrivals and those struggling with the English language.
Jambalaya News Louisiana is so much more than just a printed newspaper, they are community leaders, servants, advocates for the community and our children i.e. organizing health and back-to-school fairs just to name a few. It is because of this that we have to show support and solidarity with such a great organization.
They did not have content insurance to cover their most basic need to run the business which is why we are imploring you to join Jambalaya News Louisiana in their recovery efforts.
