After weathering the worst of Hurricane Harvey, Jamari and his family were awakened by National Guard troops in the early morning hours of August 29th. Flood waters breached the nearby reservoir dams and their entire neighborhood was quickly going under. They were loaded into a Humvee and evacuated to the Berry Center leaving virtually everything behind. Fortuantely Jamari and his family are safe but their
neighborhood remains submerged and inaccessable so it is impossible to assess what remains of their home, automobiles and possessions. My name is Jeff Pollard and I manage the Cypress Mustangs baseball team. Jamari is an original Mustang and all funds raised will go directly to his parents Tarik and DaMetria to help defray what is sure to be a substantial financial burden they will incur getting their family back in their home and on their feet.
