I am Kathy Ham Hendrix assisting the family of Jamar Davis raise funds for the burial and memorial service for Jamar.
Jamar was killed in Glynn County on Sunday, July 20 at 11:45 pm when he was struck by a car.
He was taken from Brunswick hospital to Shands in Jacksonville where he died of a traumatic brain injury on Tuesday, July 22nd.
His sister Erika Davis and brothers Tavaris “Bob” Davis and Nate Larry as well as many in our community want to see him have a funeral service and be laid to rest.
There has also been an account set up at Southeastern Bank.
He was afraid of fire and I can’t dream of letting him be cremated.
His little youn life deserves a funeral.
I am just a lady that he worked for and like so many in our small community of Nahunta, Georgia, we all took him under our wing as he was a special needs child who graduated from the Life Skills class at Brantley County High School in 2020.
Since graduation he worked odd jobs around town and the church to keep himself busy and out of trouble.
Jamar had an extremely rough life losing both his grandmother and mother within weeks of each other last year. Wanted to be his own ma in a 12 year old frame of mind which made any decision making with him difficult at times. He choose the street before help at times in his own proud way.
He had a great relationship with Jesus and we all know where he is. He was even baptized twice because he demanded it because he said, the first time may not have took!
His heart was the size of Texas, he loved big and lot people loved him back.
We just want to ask for anything toward a final resting place for him that his Mother and Grandmother’s ashes can be placed with him and they will all have a final resting place.
Thank any and everyone in advance for your love and generosity!
