Jamal Needs Aid Amidst California Fires
Donation protected
STOP, DROP, AND ROLL!!
My name is Jamal. I, along with numerous individuals, have been impacted by the wildfires in California. Unfortunately, people have lost loved ones, pets, homes, and more. I’m currently residing in the Santa Clarita area, which has been categorized as a red flag warning zone. The fires are now at my back door. I am in need of assistance due to the threat of emergency evacuation drawing near.
Currently, I attend California State University of Northridge (C-Sun). I am a sophomore, with a major in Health and Human Science. The goal is to become a brain surgeon. Art club, tutoring, and creating content for Tik-Tok occupy majority of my time, outside of my studies. I have a long journey ahead of me. The first hurdle is returning home to Kentucky, in order to ensure my safety, so that I may continue working towards my dream.
Expenses that I need help covering are significantly impacted by the fact that I live in Kentucky, yet attend school in California. Therefore, when it is time to evacuate, I will need to provide a way to transport my vehicle, place extra furniture in storage, afford airfare to return home, and fund a new place to live, upon my return to college. You can never plan for a spontaneous wild fire. However, when it impacts you, you can reach out to family, friends, supporters, and your community to help in a time of need. Humbly, that time is now for me.
I understand the holidays have just swept through, like a wild fire of their own. Therefore, I understand if you are unable to give at this time. However, if you do have the means and find it within your heart to donate, I’d greatly appreciate your financial offering. Thank you for your consideration.
