Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. As many of you know, I am from Jamaica and many of my close friends and loved ones still live there. They have been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. The storm tore through the parishes and communities of Manchester, St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, Hanover, Trelawny, and St James destroying lives, livelihoods, leaving many of my friends and families without shelter, clean water, or electricity.

Thousands of people lost everything in the storm — their home, personal belongings, water tanks, and even access to basic needs like food and clean drinking water. The area is still without electricity or running water, and rebuilding will be a long, difficult process.
