Dear friends, family, and community,

Like so many Jamaicans at home and abroad, my heart is heavy. Hurricane Melissa left behind heartbreak, loss, and unimaginable damage across our island. Homes destroyed, schools and clinics impaired, and families struggling to meet even the most basic needs.

For me, this is not distant news, it is deeply personal. The stories of neighbors who lost everything, mothers without supplies for their children, and communities waiting for light to return both literally and emotionally.

I created Relief for Roots: Supporting Jamaica to help restore that light. Our mission is to provide feminine-care products, hygiene essentials, baby supplies, comfort items, and rebuilding support directly to women and families who need them most. These small acts of care bring dignity and hope when everything else feels uncertain.

Every dollar donated will go toward:

We are partnering with Keller Williams Jamaica and my family members on the ground to ensure donations reach real people quickly and responsibly. Whenever possible, supplies will be purchased locally in Jamaica to move faster and support the island economy. I will share regular updates, photos, and progress reports here for full transparency.

If you are in Atlanta, donation drop boxes will be available at:

If you are able to give, please know that every contribution, large or small, makes a lasting difference. And if you cannot give financially, your prayers, shares, and positive energy mean just as much.

Together, we can help Jamaica heal one package, one family, one act of love at a time.

Warmest regards,

*Transparency & Fund Use

100% of funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly toward relief and rebuilding support for families in Jamaica impacted by Hurricane Melissa. Donations will be used for the purchase of essential supplies, shipping costs (if needed), and direct local aid through Keller Williams and community partners.

I will post receipts, photos, and progress updates here so donors can see exactly how their contributions are being used.*
