Hiya,

Im Chanay, just your regular person calling out for help for a nation close to my heart and to do my part to help people that are in desperate need.

These people have lost their homes, their possessions but most of all some of them have lost family, friends, pets, their spark, their joy and their livelihoods to this horrific hurricane.

We all dance to their music, eat their food and idolise their artists, sport stars etc but will we be there for their country when it matters most?

I do not have any Jamaican blood/ heritage that I know of but I fell in love with this country when I visited in 2019. The music, the culture, the scenery but most importantly the people, hospitality and the feeling it gave me where second to none.

I had the pleasure of meeting the incredible Usain Bolt and the lovely Brisco (Oneil) back in 2023 and they showed me the exact reason why Jamaicans are some of the loveliest people you will ever come across. No egos or bad vibes just straight incredible humans which I am blessed to now be able to call my friends.

That being said, I have over 500,000 (yes over half a million) of you beautiful souls watching my little account on Instagram and it would be scandalous for me not to ask each of you to donate to restore this beautiful country and help the people gain their joy back in whatever way possible.

Even if it’s only £1 any donation is a blessing. I will personally work with Brisco (Oneil) and Usain and my other Jamaican contacts to ensure any donations are given straight to the people that need it most!
