Hello everyone,

My name is Tamara, and I’m starting this GoFundMe to help my family and their neighbors in Jamaica who have been devastated by Hurricane Melissa.

Right now, they are without electricity, clean water, and food. Homes have been damaged, and many roofs have been completely torn off. It breaks my heart to see the suffering of my loved ones and the community I grew up in.

I’ve never been the one to reach out for help — I usually keep things to myself — but this situation is more than I can bear alone.

I’ll be working closely with my relatives on the ground in Jamaica. They will be coordinating the help my family members and their neighbors need to get food, water, and essential supplies. Together, we’ll make sure that every dollar goes directly toward relief efforts for those most in need.

All funds raised will go toward:

• Providing food, clean water, and baby supplies

• Purchasing hygiene and feminine care items

• Supporting neighbors who have lost everything
