How the funds will be handled and used

This fundraiser is being organised by me, Curtley Williams. I will be personally receiving the donations and using them directly to support people and communities in Jamaica affected by Hurricane Melissa.

I will be travelling to Jamaica on February 5th and will personally distribute the funds and support on the ground. The money raised will be used for the following purposes:

• Direct financial support for my family and local community, particularly in and around Brown’s Town

• Support for the local church where my grandparents attended and where my grandad’s funeral was held, which sustained damage during the hurricane

• Assistance for small local businesses to help with storm damage repairs or restocking essential products

• Support for local restaurants in Discovery Bay, including:

• Cris Nic

• Bashment Vibes Bar & Grill

These are places I know personally and where I spent time with my grandad. They were impacted by the storm and are an important part of the local community and economy.

I will be distributing funds either directly to individuals and businesses or by purchasing essential supplies on their behalf. I will keep records and share updates, photos, and videos on social media and on this GoFundMe page to show how donations are being used and the impact they are making.

This fundraiser is not for personal profit. All funds raised will be used solely to support recovery, rebuilding, and relief efforts within the local Jamaican community.
