Hi everyone, I’m Luc McNally-Drew a young rugby player representing Jamaica 7s.
I’ve recently been called up to play in the Rugby Americas North 7s 19-20th August which is qualification for the Paris Olympics 2024 and the World Challenger Series next year.
(Straight in at the deep end!)
This is my first international call-up for Jamaica 7s and I’m extremely proud to be representing my family heritage.
The tournament is taking place in Victoria, BC, Canada - so quite a trek!!
I’m having to fund this trip myself and as a student, it has been quite difficult. However, this is a big goal of mine and an incredible opportunity.
Having overcome serious ACL & Meniscus injuries, surgery and multiple setbacks in the past 2 years this opportunity has come from a lot of hard work and sacrifice.
If anybody would like to help support me and in turn the national team it would be greatly appreciated no matter how big or small.
As shown by the women at this summer's Football World Cup Jamaican sport needs all the help it can get as we push for recognition on the international stage.
