Recently, Hurricane Melissa has destroyed many communities across the island of Jamaica, helpless & worried as to what the future holds. It was only last year category 4 Hurricane Beryl passed by the island causing major damage. Then just when Jamaica was making a steady recovery, along came Hurricane Melissa, another category 4 hurricane to cause even more devastation to homes, roads, airport, phone lines, electricity & power. High winds & flooding destroyed crops & property, leaving many families without food, water and access to getting much needed medical support.
David 'Deeko' White Son of Albion & Noel 'Nooksy' Phillips Son of Wolves (together with others) will be doing a fundraising walk on Sunday December 7th from Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club to West Bromwich Albion Football Club (11 miles) to raise funds for Black River Hospital St. Elizabeth, Jamaica which was badly damaged by the hurricane. Funds collected will go directly to providing much needed food & medical supplies for Black River Hospital & Temporary Hospital setup to aid occupants of many communities within the Parish of St. Elizabeth.
Your support, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated which in turn will help provide some hope to the island, who's motto "Out of Many, One People" says it all. Unity is strength.
Please join the effort, or give what you can. Thank you for being involved.
