Jamaica is reeling in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. Since making landfall on October 28, 2025, the impact has continued to devastate communities across the island, and every second counts. Within the the next 48 hours we are seeking to accelerate disaster response efforts by:
- Mobilizing trained disaster relief personnel
- Leveraging rapid drone technology
- Staging operations to identify isolated communities
Entire communities have been destroyed, with homes, roads, and bridges washed away, leaving thousands cut off from medical care, communication, and essential resources. The heartbreak is unimaginable as families wait for help that cannot reach them by land. With the death toll rising and access routes completely severed, drones have become a lifeline and the only way to reach those stranded in remote areas. Through this GoFundMe, we are seeking the resources needed to deploy drone missions to deliver food supplies, emergency aid, and medical support to those most in need. With your help, we can deliver life-saving aid from the sky.
Local responders, including the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF), Jamaica Fire Brigade, and Virginia Task Force 1 (VA-TF1) are working tirelessly, but the scale of need is overwhelming. With rural areas remain completely unreachable by road, especially in Westmoreland and Hanover, with aging populations, fragile infrastructure, and dispersed hill communities far from their respective parish capitals, Savanna-la-Mar and Lucea.
By focusing operations in these parishes, we can help those most vulnerable: elderly residents, the medically fragile, and families who have lost everything receive timely assistance.

About the Organizers:
We are a group of proud Jamaicans born, raised, and deeply rooted in the very communities now devastated by Hurricane Melissa. Many of us have families and friends who have been personally affected, their homes damaged, and livelihoods disrupted.
We are leveraging our deep local ties, education both in Jamaica and abroad, and our global diaspora network to coordinate efficient, community-driven relief efforts. By combining local knowledge with international support, we aim to deliver meaningful recovery and help rebuild stronger, more resilient communities in Westmoreland and Hanover.
Together, we can transform technology into hope, ensuring no community is left behind when disaster strikes.
