Hi, I’m Karen. I live in Australia but have family and friends in Jamaica. As many of you are aware Hurricane Melissa has left catastrophic damage all over the Island of Jamaica. So many have lost their homes, livelihoods and roads are impassable in many places. The aftermath is tough and there is an immediate need for food, clean water and basic necessities.

My community have no power, water, or coverage and this could take till Dec to get power restored. I want to help the best way I can and my immediate neighbors including myself have extensive damage to their roof. They are bucketing water out of their homes. I still have friends who can’t get back to their homes to see if they have a home at all. I want to raise money to help them restore their roofs and provide immediate help for food, medical, drinking water and basic necessities.

thank you. This will be a very long and hard struggle for so many across the Island.

funds will be used also to purchase supplies so my family and friends in my community can restore their homes.

praying for everyone as the clean up begins.
