Hello everyone,
My name is Carlington Reid, and I’m starting this GoFundMe to support the communities in Jamaica that were recently devastated by Hurricane Melissa.
I was born in Jamaica, specifically in the parish of St. Mary, and it breaks my heart to see how badly my home community has been affected. Many individuals and families have lost everything — their homes, belongings, and even their livelihoods.
I’m also a current serving member of the British Army, and I’ve always believed in the values of service, duty, and helping those in need. Now, I want to extend that same commitment to the people of my home country.
I will be traveling to Jamaica next month, and my goal is to directly assist those most affected — especially families with young children who are struggling to recover. I’ll be sending boxes filled with food and other essential items ahead of my trip and will personally help distribute them to those most in need while I’m there.
The aid will focus on providing food, clean water, and basic necessities to help families get through this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward supporting these efforts and helping rebuild the lives of those impacted.
If you’re able, please consider contributing or sharing this campaign with others. Together, we can bring hope and relief to the people of Jamaica as they recover from this disaster.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
Carlington Reid.
