Jakobi Dashon Mayes is 11 years old. On Friday May 26, 2018 Jakobi was heading to a sleepover with his aunt and his cousins, when a random car pull up beside them and fired six gun shots into the vehicle. One of the bullets struck Jakobi in the head. By the grace of GOD and by Jakobi’s own willpower he walked into the emergency room and told the staff he only had a headache. Jakobi is currently in the hospital still fighting for his life after surviving brain surgery. Jakobi Dashon is the perfect kid and the perfect role model for his 7 year old brother Jakhye and 6 year old step-sister Taliyah. He is an honor student, he is enrolled in Pre-AP classes, he plays the viola in the middle school orchestra (1st Chair), he plays football and baseball, he is a member of student council and he has NEVER received a office referral in his life. We thank GOD for all that he has done thus far but we know there is more work to be done to complete this miracle. Due to Jakobi insurance only covering so much, we are raising money for Jakobi medical expenses, travel expenses as he will need another surgery and tons of physical therapy. We fully believe GOD will see us through and fully heal Jakobi. Our trust is in GOD and we are calling upon any and everyone to help us make this miracle come to past!
