This memorial fund is dedicated in Mike Walls’ memory and to support his sons college education. 

Jake Walls is a fun loving, extremely smart and dedicated student currently attending his first year at Heartland Community College and working at Subway part-time. Jake has yet to determine his field of study but has a bright future ahead of him with continued support from family, friends and mentors. Jake is a Chicago Cub, Bears and Blackhawks fan like his father. He can talk sports all day long with anyone. 

On Sunday, March 14, 2021, Mike Walls, Jake's father lost his nearly 6 year long battle with metastatic colon cancer. With multiple surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments, Mike became a unique study for his Mayo Clinic Oncology care team.  Mike didn't have an easy road, but he always made everyone feel at ease around him. He could take on whatever was thrown at him to be with his son.
