This is a story of two brothers who have been inseperable since they were little.

It is also a story of beautiful grace.

On the 5th November 2016 their young lives were changed forever.  Our youngest son Ryley was hit on the head by a falling tree branch.  He was rushed by helicopter to hospital where we both joined him shortly thereafter.

He was put into a coma and over the next 2 months we watched as he struggled to survive.

During this time our oldest lost both his brother and his parents as we were essentially living in the hospital.  I cannot imagine how hard it would have been.  To see his brother have this accident and then to abruptly have no brother and no parents.  He came into the hospital a few times and found each time deeply distressting.  He also has had to adjust to the fact that his brother cannot run around with him in the backyard like they used to do everyday.  Nor can they wrestle (as brothers do constantly) or do other things that they were constantly doing.

But what about the grace you ask?  Well, the story of the last few months is a story of the beautiful grace of God. There are innumerable things we could talk about, but I will mention just 2.  The first is that Ryley came home on 23rd December.  While we have a long road in front of us with regards to rehab, having Ryely home for Christmas was an incredible testimony to the Grace of God.  To see Ryley's progress in two months was miraculous.

The other story of miraculous grace is the topic and reason for this campaign.  In amongst the craziness we were really asking God to help Jake and to keep him positive.

Jake attends an AC Milan Soccer Academy and on the 19th November he was invited to attend a tournament in Italy for the Academy.  Needless to say this made his year and really helped him through the last month or so of not having a brother or parents as he really started to look forward to that.  This tournament is being held at the end of June and beginning of July this year (2017).

Unfortunatly this costs a lot of money (as I am sure you can understand).  This campaign is to help us raise some of the money required to send him over there.
